Let the weddings immense! Amanda and Zach were the first couple to postpone their wedding back in March due to the Pandemic and the first to host their wedding once everything started to cool down.
In March they had a small family gathering in order to have a ceremony for the two of them. They planned to redo their ceremony and throw a party in August with hopes that then pandemic would be gone.
2 months prior to their wedding party at Hidden Falls, we had to make some decisions. They were allowing 75% capacity, masks recommended for guests and wedding party but not required and tons and tons of family that was unable to attend.
What should they do?
They suggested live streaming the ceremony for family and friends to be able to be apart of it and asked the DJ to be in charge of it. Hand sanitizers were available at the sign-in, individual tables, bar, and dessert area. Lastly, they provided masks for the guest that felt uncomfortable being around 120 other people.
All vendors were required to wear masks and keep a distance as best as possible. With everything ready, it was time to rock and roll.
The ceremony went off without a hitch and the reception was a flashback to college tailgate parties. Both Amanda and Zach are Texas Tech University Alumni so they know what that feels like.
Watching these two throughout such a difficult process has been truly inspiring. They have been patient, understanding, and willing to cooperate in any way they need to in order to celebrate a new chapter.
We asked Amanda what her most memorable part of the wedding was? Here is her response.
“The most memorable part was seeing everything come together after hours of planning and putting every thought into our big day. Seeing each other for the first time was so special and emotional for us. We did a communion between the two of us and had our harpist play “Ava Maria” as we had a special thank you to our parents and we gifted them with a rose. Being surrounded by our closest family and friends meant the world to us!”
We also asked her to give some advice for future Hazel and Bloom Events couples.
“My advice would be to not overthink the small stuff and be flexible. With Covid totally throwing a wrench in things. We had to make a lot of changes and some things I once thought were a huge deal suddenly didn’t matter anymore. Also, let your wedding planner, Jessica, lead the way! Those ladies know what they are doing so trust in them!”
Amanda and Zach, Thank you for being such an amazing sport through this pandemic and for choosing Hazel and Bloom Events. Congratulations again and BEST WISHES!
