Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Whiteley! Keegan and Caleb decided to host their big day at Western Sky in Bulverde, Texas. They chose to have a large dance floor and keep it more cocktail casual. As their wedding coordinator, we helped make their wedding day stress free and run smoothly. Keegan and I became great friends during this planning process and I’m so glad we did!
Some unique things that they decided to add included a first look with her bridesmaids, father of the bride, and with Caleb. Each of those moments was captured beautifully by Katie Knotts Photography. Additionally, Keegan decided to go with the light blue linens and white charger plates. She added the wood charger plates to the head table alone and we LOVED it. Lastly, their family friend and officiant for the wedding offered for them to use his Vintage car as a Grand Exit and WOW it was perfect! We asked Keegan and Caleb a few questions about their wedding and cannot wait for you to read them. Here we go….
How were you feeling leading up to the ceremony?
“Leading up to the ceremony I was both anxious and excited. From inside the bridal suite the one-way window allowed me to watch all our guests arrive which was such a cool opportunity. The last moments with just the bridal party lining up to walk out will be a moment I’ll never forget.”
Do you have any advice for future brides on what to do and what not to do?
“My advice for future brides is to do what you want to do and not let anyone else’s opinions of how you are planning, designing or executing your wedding change what your heart really desires. I ended up changing my entire reception décor just weeks before the wedding because I realized I let others influence my original decisions.
Also, ALWAYS vet your vendors or hire a coordinator before you start hiring other vendors that will help you find credible trustworthy vendors!”
What were you glad you spent the extra money on?
“A last-minute edition, literally the week of the wedding after seeing Hitch, the photo booth, featured on Hazel & Bloom’s Instagram. The last-minute edition and extra money spent to have a photo booth along with adding an additional hour onto the bar package to allow for a longer reception are two things that I am so glad we spent extra money. “
